Cheryl Olson, RDH, BS
Treatment Coordinator

With over 14 years of experience in the dental profession, Cheryl’s vast knowledge and experience are great assets to Minick Orthodontics.  After working as a Dental Assistant for nine years, Cheryl obtained her Bachelors Degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry.  She practiced Dental Hygiene for three years and worked as a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dental Hygiene at the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry prior to joining the staff at Minick Orthodontics.   

Cheryl enjoys interior decorating, hiking, entertaining and being with friends.

Luz Barahona Martinez
Orthodonic Assistant

Luz is a dedicated, highly skilled member of the Minick Orthodontics team. Since obtaining her Dental Assisting Certification in 2001 she has gained eight years of experience as an orthodontic assistant. “I love what I do” says Luz. And it shows. Her personable, friendly demeanor makes patients feel right at home.

Luz is originally from El Salvador and speaks both Spanish and English. She has three wonderful children, loves to read and walk, and always has a smile on her face.

Shannon Minick, MBA
Director of Marketing

Shannon has the privilege of fulfilling her passion for marketing and business strategy in both her part time role for Minick Orthodontics and at her full time employment as a Marketing Strategist at a Fortune 1000 company. After working for over ten years in the non-profit sector, Shannon obtained her Masters Degree in Business Administration with emphasis in strategy from the University of Nebraska College of Business in 2004.  Her experience includes work as a Marketing Manager, Product Manager and Marketing Strategist.

Shannon loves hiking, skiing, team sports, movies and leading worship at her church.  She especially enjoys playing with her two kitties, Marty and Tori.
